We took Kim to the doctor in Dallas yesterday. She continues to improve. We got her on a plan to get her off the addicting pain meds. She tried to go off cold turkey Wed night and it was not pretty. Thurs. she went to the doctor here to check on her pneumonia. She is cured from the pneumonia. He told her to get back on the pain meds and ask Dr. Wolford how to taper off. We now have a plan and some new, non-addictive medication.
Yesterday Kim started being able to eat some very soft food, like scrambled eggs, without having it pureed. Today she swallowed her first pill. Yea!
